History
Founded in 1943 by Kaihei Ushikubo in Japan, SANDEN started as a manufacturer of dynamo bicycle lamps during World War II.
Transformation
Initially known as the “Sankyo Denki” Electric Company, SANDEN later ventured into the home electric appliance market. By the 1950s, the company expanded into refrigeration machines. Notably, Sanden was keen to understand the needs of its customers and succeeded in creating the industry’s first ice cream freezer showcase. A pivotal moment that solidified its position as a global leader in cooling solutions.
